About Us
Aaron Lodge Guest House Hotel is run and owned by Ted and Dot Baigan offering Edinburgh’s most unique luxury ‘home from home’ experience with wonderfully elegant and spacious en-suite rooms, a central location in Edinburgh city centre and five star service.
Free and private car parking is available for residents only and there is an excellent and regular local transport service.
Ted has been in the hotel business for over 30 years and has owned several guest houses in and around Edinburgh City Centre and at one point owned all the guest houses on Old Dalkeith Road, but sold the Arden which had the least potential.
In June 2007, Ted purchased the Kirklands guest house and renamed it the Aaron Lodge, which he fully rebuilt and equipped to the highest standards, matching any 5 star hotel.
Dot also has vast experience that coincides with Ted's qualities. Dot started off working in the offices for Scottish & Newcastle Breweries before then moving on to working in the Finance departments of the then Royal Scott Hotel (now the Marriot), 4 Star George Hotel and 5 Stat Balmoral Hotel all in Edinburgh.
Dot and Ted strive to offer the best possible services, and all the guest house hotel rooms are en-suite and furnished with contemporary interiors. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in our conservatory and have ensured any guests requring accessible facilities are well catered for including large walk in showers with shower seat, accessible toilets, large rooms and ramps to all areas.
